I did multiple tests on Windows 8.1 and I have not been able to reproduce the problem.

Was there anything you did prior to double-clicking on the file? Such as use compare folder content feature or anything else?

Have you installed any new software that could possibly be conflicting with FlashFXP?

Have you tried rebooting your computer to see if maybe that might help?
