If you try installing FlashFXP without Administrator or Power-User permissions, FlashFXP will fail to write to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT section of your registry where a "file association" is created to display the appropriate icon.
In order to resolve this problem, log onto Windows with Administrator or Power-User level permissions and launch FlashFXP once with the following commandline switch.
FLASHFXP.EXE -setreg
This should correct the Parent Folder Icon problem.
