I had previously been using FashSFV 2.0f.

The interface of FashSFV 2.0f seems superior to the interface of FashSFV 2.5. The newer interface takes much more screen area for the display of the contents of an SFV file. An option member to "Options" to remove the gridlines would be godd to have. I also like seeing a menubar.

I do like that the newer version provided above allows one to work with MD5 checksums.

FashSFV 2.5 also seems more buggy than FashSFV 2.0f. I could not find a problem with FashSFV 2.0f.

My operating system is Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4.

v2.5 is almost a complete rewrite of v2.0, The interface and some features are not finished and probably quite buggy. I haven't had any free time to work on FlashSFV.

Understandable, if FlashSFV would have to be done on free time rather than on IniCom Networks time.

Nice software!
But if can support other languages, it will be much helpful.
When I click new button, the treectrl and listctrl can not display other language strings.

It's definetly very good, but have you tried hkSFV v2.0.1 (84)? Which is better and why, what do you think guys? I like FlashSFV because it's only 1 .exe file.

I am looking at the registry for associating SFV and MD5 files with FlashSFV. I notice in
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\FlashSFV.Document\Shell\open\Command
the value is "c:\progra~1\flashsfv\flashsfv.exe "%1"".

When the value is changed from 8.3 format to "C:\Program Files\FlashSFV\FlashSFV.exe "%1"" the directory of the SFV file in the main window when verifying the sums is in 8.3 format (ie "D:\-_DOWN~1\FlashSFV\flash.sfv" instead of "D:\-= Downloads =-\FlashSFV\flash.sfv").

Not really a big deal, just seeing if this can be adjusted to support full path names.

The way it's set in the registry is fine.

However if you really want to change it to the full path, rather than the 8.3 name then you need to format the string correctly.

It should look like this:

"C:\Program Files\FlashSFV\FlashSFV.exe" "%1"

I just came across this. Are there any instructions on how to use it? Does it plug into Flash FXP to check files as they are downloaded or is it just a SFV checker to use after downloading them?

Thanks.

This is a simple SFV and MD5SUM checker. It doesn't plug into FlashFXP. It can be associated to the .sfv and .md5 files so you only have to double click on them to check the files.
