So you're trying to upload some large video files to a ftp server and the transfer hangs at 99% and eventually the connection times out, you are puzzled because the transfer works on some other no-name ftp client but not with FlashFXP and you don't understand why.
This is not an obvious problem.
It turns out that some ftp servers do post processing on video uploads.
i.e. ftp.bitsontherun.com (their
free account allows ftp uploads for quick diagnostic testing) a video streaming site that allows ftp uploads.
We are aware that this issue effects hardware devices from 360 Systems.

The problem is caused by FlashFXP attempting to set the file date/time after upload, because the file is locked while performing the video post processing the date/time command hangs until the command eventually times out.
The solution is to turn off the preserve file date/time setting for file transfers.
The ideal location to change this setting is per-site; but you can also disable it globally if desired from on the main window (select from the menu
Options >
File Transfer Rules)
Site Manager > Select site profile >
Transfer Tab, Now under the file transfer rules heading click the
