Default Connection Refused Error

FlashFXP: v3.3.5, build 1110 Beta Release (Ie, not registered )
OS: WinXP
Running behind NAT/router: ..um. I have a router, if that's what this means, haha. It's a Linksys.
Running firewall: Dunno.
Running Antivirus: Yes.
Network: Cable
FTP server(s): Have no idea.

I have worked with my host to see if there's anything wrong on their end, and he said that he can log in to my FTP just fine. I've tried logging into a friend's FTP and it won't work either, so I'm guessing it's the client's problem.

All it gives me is this: [R] Connection failed (Connection refused)

Any ideas?

This is not an error from FlashFXP, the server at the other end is actively refusing your connection. Maybe the address or port is wrong.
You might want to try logging into it with some other FTP software, like the command line ftp.exe, just for testing purposes.

My host and I checked the address and port. =/ I also tried logging in with two other FTP clients and got nothing. I'm just so frustrated because I've been dealing with this for over a month. I don't know where to go with this if my host can't help me and you guys can't either.

Command line ftp.exe..?

Well as phyber mentioned, it's the *server* that isn't responding, so you can ask 20 times everybody but it isn't going to help you any. You need to contact the person who is running the ftp (i.e. your ISP)
