Default FlashFXP proxy support for Bluecoat Firewalls

Hi guys,

love flashFXP and always used it in Windows until our company switched over to Bluecoat Proxy systems on the corporate firewalls.
I have been trying to see if any of the available proxy configurations in FlashFXP will handshake with the bcpr but to no avail.

Here is what I know:
Googling on ftp proxy setup for these firewalls recommends:

If you wish to use Filezilla or any 3rd party program with an SG that has Authentication then you just need to make sure that the following settings are applied.

1) Clear text must be enabled on the SG's Authentication.
2) Port 21 service must be enabled.
3) On the 3rd party tool the following settings are needed.

The Username / password fields are the Authentication login details.

FTP Proxy Settings:

USER RemoteID@RemoteHost FireID
I can confirm this in Macintosh land with Fetch:
Code:
Fetch 5.3 (5D161) Intel running on Mac OS X 10.5.6 (9G55) Intel English
StuffIt Engine 0x820, StuffIt SDK Version 10.1.1b1
Partial serial FETCH5X002-E4PX-8NAC T

Using USER remoteID@remoteHost fireID proxy server host:172.17.10.182, port:21, userid:wparker
Connecting to 172.17.10.182 port 21 (Mac OS X firewall is allowing connections) (20/3/09 8:47:04 AM)
Connected to 172.17.10.182 port 21 (20/3/09 8:47:04 AM)
220 Blue Coat FTP Service
USER stardotstar@sourcepoint.com.au wparker

200 Command okay.
PORT 172,17,16,28,193,192
200 PORT command successful.
LIST -al
150 File status okay; about to open data connection.
Here you will see the proxy syntax described exactly as in the post prior.

The closest I can get with FlashFXP is:
Code:
[08:29:27] [R] Connecting to helios via Proxy -> IP=172.17.10.182 PORT=21
[08:29:27] [R] Connected to helios via Proxy
[08:29:27] [R] 220 Blue Coat FTP Service
[08:29:27] [R] USER stardotstar@sourcepoint.com.au wparker
[08:29:27] [R] 331 Enter password.
[08:29:27] [R] PASS (hidden)
[08:29:27] [R] 332 Enter proxy password.
[08:29:27] [R] ACCT (hidden)
[08:29:41] [R] 230 User stardotstar logged in
[08:29:41] [R] USER stardotstar
[08:29:42] [R] 503 You are already logged in!
[08:29:42] [R] Connection failed
[08:29:42] [R] Delaying for 120 seconds before reconnect attempt #1
Any recommendations on how to proceed with FlashFXP

TIA
Will

My experience with this proxy server is very limited. Support was originally added based on information that was provided to me by a end user, similar to the post you provided. The solution that was originally added work for this user, but there may have been some details neither of us were aware of.

I made some changes that should help resolve the problem. You can download a beta release with these changes at http://download.flashfxp.com/beta/ffxp3.7.8.1333.zip

Simply unzip the file and overwrite your existing FlashFXP.exe

Please let me know if this resolves the issue for you.
