Default FTP to PS3

I read where you can use FTP to log in to your PS3 by using the network address of the PS3 and get errors. From what the page said on Ehow.com you only need the IP address and no user name or password. Anyone ever try this and been successful?

You'll need to hack your ps3 in order to do that.

Thanks, I read that Blackbox PS3 server if installed on the PS3 will allow FTP to connect to the server, may try that, wish it was as easy as just entering the IP address.

it usually depend on the ftp program you install on the ps3.
I've tried several different variants and some of them have their name as username/password and some take any text inserted into username/password, and usually not work when just empty
