Hiya!

I am transferring some TXT files to my DOS computer (mTCP file server) but the line break (I think?) character is added or replaced and this results to issues when installations check the files.

I have tried changing the encoding options in Preferences->Connection to AUTO, UTF-8, UTF-16, ISO_8859_1 and "DOS Multilingual Latin (IBM-853)" - nothing changed but maybe these are for the flasfxp gui...?

So here is the installation error when installing WinG:

Here is how the TXT look with DOS editor, the line break character appears as a music note:

and here is when viewed, notice the double line breaks:

If I transfer a ZIP file with the TXT here is how it looks in edit/viewer - as expected by the system and installation completes fine:

Here is the LOG when I transfer this TXT:

Can this be resolved ? Or it's none of FlashFXP's fault?

Thanks in advance for any time spent on this!

Change the transfer mode from Auto to Binary and all file types will be transferred AS-IS without any alterations.

This can be done for the current session via the main menu > Session > Transfer Mode > Binary

Or if you want to default to Binary mode from now on when you start FlashFXP then via the main menu > Options > Preferences > Transfer > Transfer Mode > Binary and Click OK to save the changes.
(This does apply the new Transfer Mode for the current session)

The ASCII text file conversion is done on the server-side and sometime the result is not what you'd expect.
