Arrow Poor transfer speed

Hi,

I've been using FlashFXP on & off for like ~18 years. When I'm not using FlashFXP, I'm running FileZilla. It does the job and all but I keep coming back to FlashFXP.

The issue that got me to switch to FileZilla last time was the poor transfer speed I'm getting in FlashFXP. I've searched this forum a bit and it looks like I'm not the only one BUT most support cases are closed... with a fix! So here I am, full of hope and all.

Issue: I get 10% of my download speed when using FlashFXP vs FileZilla for the same file on the same (dedicated) remote server.

Here's what the Help > About > Details tab says:
Code:
FlashFXP version: 5.4.0 (build 3970)

I haven't used flashfxp in ages, but if i remember correctly it has trasnfer buffer size setting. play around with that parameter and see if it improves transfer. sometimes the largest value is better, sometimes the smallest, sometimes something in the middle.
