s/key
Im using the Windows XP SP1 and FlashFXP 3.0.2 build 1045 and was just wondering how I connect to an FTP server using OTP. Can someone give me the complete process because it is just baffling me.
Do I just enter the ftp IP as normal and username as normal? What about the password field.
I cant seem to find any tutorial or post about how this is meant to work. I have entered the appropriate password for 190 and it still won't login.
Output below:
[07:06:18] [L] Connecting to hosting.connect.com.au -> DNS=hosting.connect.com.au IP=192.189.54.15 PORT=21
[07:06:18] [L] Connected to hosting.connect.com.au
[07:06:18] [L] 220 FTP server ready.
[07:06:18] [L] USER username
[07:06:19] [L] 331 Response to otp-md5 190 bu0426 required for username.
[07:06:19] [L] PASS (s/key)
[07:06:19] [L] 530 Login incorrect.
[07:06:19] [L] Connection failed
[07:06:19] [L] Delaying for 120 seconds before reconnect attempt #1

You enter your real password into FlashFXP and FlashFXP will automatically perform the s/key authentication.

By real, do you mean the initiator password that generators OTP passwords?
The password is in the form:
TIP ELI BERN SAYS SLAB FLAG
which I put into the password field and it rejects me still.
Log below:
[07:21:18] [L] Connecting to hosting.connect.com.au -> DNS=hosting.connect.com.au IP=192.189.54.15 PORT=21
[07:21:18] [L] Connected to hosting.connect.com.au
[07:21:18] [L] 220 FTP server ready.
[07:21:18] [L] USER username
[07:21:19] [L] 331 Response to otp-md5 190 bu0426 required for username.
[07:21:19] [L] PASS (s/key)
[07:21:19] [L] 530 Login incorrect.

You don't need to generate a OTP for FlashFXP. You use the real password assigned to you by your provider "secert_pass", During login FlashFXP detects that a OPT is requred and converts your "secret_pass" into a OTP, i.e. TIP ELI BERN SAYS SLAB FLAG

Is "secret_pass" typically not in the format:
TIP ELI BERN SAYS SLAB FLAG
?
We have a webpage that we use a password of the above format to generate the OTP. I would have assumed that this if the "secret_pass" you are talking about.

TIP ELI BERN SAYS SLAB FLAG looks to me like a OTP generated password and not a "secret_pass", If it were the "secret_pass" it should of worked as expected and you should of been able to login.
You might need to contact your provider and clear this up.

I just called them. They say the only way to generate keys is by using the initiator key which is the "TIP ELI BERN SAYS SLAB FLAG". Does this just mean that my provider cant handle it? Is that a possibility?

I suppose that's possible. I've never heard of any provider doing anything like that though.

In Serv-u you need to re-enter the password if you change the password type, did you do that?
That goes for switching from md5 to sha1 as well.
