Default [bug] senario: disconnected while downloading

when i get disconnected in the middle of downloading (due to timeout i think. i have a slow connection), usually flashfxp reconnects and resumes, which is quite good. however, sometimes it asks me what action i wanna take (i.e. the file exists action) coz it thinks the source file is 0 byte in size (probably coz i was disconnected and flashfxp can't get a dir list). i don't think this should happen? or did i configure something wrongly.

When you reconnect FlashFXP should re-display the file listing, and prior to download it issues a SIZE command (hidden from view) to determine the file size. If SIZE fails it falls back to the size displayed in the file listing.

You can test SIZE manually by entering it as a raw command Ctrl-C and enter SIZE <filename>

problem is, flashfxp asks me what to do before it reconnects, which means it can't get dir listing, which means it'll think the file is 0 size

here's the status window output:

[21:36:24] RETR 01.mp3
[21:36:25] 150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for 01.mp3 (6570984 bytes).

[21:38:15] Transfer Failed!

You appear to be correct, If connection is lost at that exact instance the file exists dialog appears, when in fact it shouldn't.

I've made some changes that should resolve the problem, please contact me at support@flashfxp.com and I'll provide you with an update you can test.

Thanks for your bug report.

Default File size 0 bug still exists

I'm on a relatively flaky link, but I regularly need to transfer huge files from our offices abroad.

I've set FlashFXP to automatically retry transfers 99999 times and also to automatically resume.

This works well for all intermittent connection drops, but often screws up when the remote server goes offline for a longer period of time.

I get the same prompt as described above (file size 0).

My two primary reasons for using FlashFXP is no-hassle, reliable FTP transfers plus the FXP functionality.

Has this issue been resolved in the 2.0 Release Candidates?

I use version 1.4.3 on Windows 2000 Professional fully updated with SPs and Hotfixes.

Default update to "File size 0 bug still exists"

Sorry about calling my post "File size 0 bug still exists", I now understand the previous bug report was only submitted a few days ago.

I live in Europe and made a classic dd/mm/yyyy vs. mm/dd/yyyy mistake.
