Downloading MANY small files fails.
Please don't close this subject again, because my other replies were in the wrong thread.
I disabled PASV again.
When DOWNLOADING small files from a fast server to my home (both 100mbit) it keeps quiting on me. After a few files it just quits and I need to reconnect and press Go again.
I also tried ALTERNATIVE downloading.
I shortened the log, because max post size was 10.000 chars.

Based on your log I have a couple questions.
1. Are you using the following option (Pref/Proxy Tab/Limit Local Port Range) ?
2. Do you have a firewall? Some firewalls will detect the many incoming connections (PORT) as a port scan and start rejecting connections for a few seconds before allowing them again.
3. Which FTP server software is the server running?
Now that I fully understand what's going on, I will conduct some tests and see if I can reproduce/determine the problem.
There is one test you can help with, try another ftp client and see if you encounter the same problem. If you do then we know it's the FTP server and will save us all alot of time.

Trying to set the port range now, will let you know the result.
The server is running glFTPd I think.. I will have to ask that to the sysAdmin tommorow.
A different FTP client... will try that now too... will post the results here asap.
Limiting the port range to : 1024 MAX 1025 doesn't work for me. same result.
Using S m a r t F T P works fine for me... It's downloading perfectly where FlashFXP always hangs after a few minutes downloads.
Disabled all firewalls...
(PS : A little bit stupid to filter out other FTP Client's names)

Well I didn't want you to try that option, I just wanted to know if it was enabled. Enabling it would cause this type of problem if the range was too small.
There were some problems several months ago where msg board members were bad mouthing other ftp clients. I don't have time to moderate the msg board 24/7, it was easier to filter the names.
Off the top of my head I can't think of any changes made between 835 and 870 that would introduce such a problem. You might want to try installing v2.0 RC2 into a completely new folder, that way you can besure you're using the default settings.
I conducted some tests with MS IIS FTP and Serv-u, transferring roughly 4k files ranging from 1KB to 10MB over my 100mbit lan. In both tests no errors occured.
I will conduct a test over the internet with ProFTPD on my webserver later today but my internet connection is very slow and that may effect the results.

Tried reinstalling FlashFXP RC 2, and within 20 seconds my download hung again. My 1.4.3 still works (after 3 hours of 100mbit downloading).
Smart File handling disabled/enabled doesn't effect anything either (don't know what it is for )

mmm still having this problem, is there any word on this ? I really don't like using FlashFXP 1.4.3 for 100mbit sites and v2.0 RC2 for non 100mbit

No progress has been made on this problem. I don't know what it could be.
