Default Update on RC3

This message is for everyone wondering what happened to RC3.

No it wasn't canceled

RC3 will contain our new help file and until the help file is completed we can not release RC3, even though FlashFXP has been ready for almost 2 weeks now.

Just sit tight and as soon as the help file is completed we will release RC3.

Thank you!

Just after I purchased FlashFXP I did several updates and almost each week had a new build for rc2. Since I read that 'next week' rc3 was planned, I didn't found any new builds. I am happy to read this thread on 'why' this is so.

I can't wait to see the new chm compiled help file!
Can you 'spoil' us any new features/bug fix's for rc3 maybe?

There wont be any new features. FlashFXP is feature locked.

RC releases are bug fixes and minor adjustments.

We have made three minor changes that stand out.
1. A new Go/Stop after current transfer icons (added in build 869).
2. When connected to a SSL/TLS site a lock icon is shown in the statusbar.
3. The File Associations have been changed from file extensions to wild-card pattern matching (very usefull for *_log files).

There have been a handfull of bug fixes.

We have decided to exclude all debug information from RC3. It will be final code without the final name. RC3 will be our final RC.

I am very happy to hear that we are near the end of this great new version! So after rc3 we can expect FlashFXP version 2.0 final! very cool.

I am using FlashFXP 2rc2 each day now and with multiple instances and it is running very nice, scheduled too!

2. When connected to a SSL/TLS site a lock icon is shown in the statusbar.

Maybe two locks is better since you can be connected to two sites simultaneously? One for each side. Open or locked.

Best regards

Linkster is doing the content, and Smoke our webmaster is designing and doing the html. I'm just the critic

the help file is 99% done, however it's taken so long i've made some changes that now invalidates some of their screenshots. heheheheh.

I will pay for FlashFXP the day that the passwords aren't hidden as those god damn asterisks.

And no, I don't consider having to type a password every time I enter the Site Manager any more convenient.

You people make me laugh....anyway, there is a way to "almost" get it the way you want.

Enable application password protection (this causes flashfxp to ask for a password each time it is started up.) Once you do that, a button will be next to each password called "reveal" which will show you your password. If you don't want to have to enter the password each time you start FlashFXP, just put -pass="password" after flashfxp.exe in your shortcut...easy as that...
