1014 still fails to install
ok time is running out now for upgrade so I will give as much info as I can to try and help solve the issue
problem - flashfxp says no previous version of flashfxp v3 found when running the installer.
when it start happening - both build 1013 and 1014 have the problem.
current flashfxp version - 1011, expires 31 july
OS - Windows XP SP2 build 2149, all updates
AV - mcaffee 7.1 pro auto protect disabled
Firewall - kerio personal firewall v2
was previous flashfxp v3 installed with installer - yes to all builds except 1011 which was just the exe file.
installed dir - i:/program files/flashfxp
registered version - yes
I hope this is enough to help you diagnose, I am hoping if we get to the last day and no solution we at least just get the new exe file like you sometimes do so we can upgrade. I will check back here often incase you need more info.

Just downloaded the update from 1010 to 1014 and I get the same problem, Wont install as it thinks there is no previous V3 installed. What happens after the 31st if this isnt fixed? with flash still work or will I be in trouble with it?

Can you please check for a couple of registry keys for me?
1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FlashFXP\3\Install Path
2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\FlashFXP\3\Install Path
Please let me know which ones you do/do not have.
Thanks

Those keys are probably created when you install FalshFXP using the installer.
If you just copy flashfxp.exe to a specific folder, while the app itself will work without problem, the updater has no way to find that dir that you created manually.
So if you want to be able to use LiveUpdate and updaters, you need to install v3 initially using the installer.
That's my guess.

1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FlashFXP\3\Install Path
2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\FlashFXP\3\Install Path
1 exists but no install path
2 doesnt exist
Mouton I remember using the installer before but I cant be 100% sure, should I perhaps download RC1 installer then try and update again from that?
--edit--
ok I remember now, I did use the installer but I have since reinstalled windows and thats why my registry is probably wrong I will install RC1 and then try to update and post feedback.

People, please stop with the expiration threads. How many times must we say that a new version will be released before expiration!
We are very aware of the expiration dates.

What do you think about the possibility to add a function which (auto)-creates registry-entries for the install-path, if they are not detected (ex. due to windows-reinstall) ? A running flashfxp-instance (that needs update) should be able to create suitably entries (for itself).
