Default Had issues with "file exits options" not working properly for me

Using the standard defaults under "File Exists Options" not functioning properly. Program did not prompt nor overwrite for any files I attempted if the file already existed on other site. If I deleted the existing file from the destination it would upload the file.

Hello,

What type of file transfer are you doing? Upload, Download, or site to site

Are you using global or per-site rules?

I need to know what type of file transfer you are doing? Upload, Download, or site to site

Are you sure the site doesn't have any per site rules setup?

With those rules it should prompt, What is your rule set to if no rule matches?

Default Current Settings

I need to know what type of file transfer you are doing? Upload, Download, or site to site

I have only tried upload

Are you sure the site doesn't have any per site rules setup?

All sites default to "Use Global Settings"

With those rules it should prompt, What is your rule set to if no rule matches?

"ASK"

Can you please include a copy of the ftp session log, this can be obtained by right-clicking on the session log window (typically bottom right pane) and selecting "copy to clipboard" from the menu, then paste the data in your reply.

The messages in the log should give us a better understanding as to why the file is being skipped.

Can you also try a download and see if the problem occurs.

I am not able to reproduce the issue using the additional information you provided me so I am wondering if perhaps maybe its a configuration issue and the session status should tell us that.

I initially copied index - Copy.html, made an edit, then attempted to copy again. I think I see a possible issue. I restored my FlashFXP 3 site information as it was not automatically brought over. In FlashFXP 4, the "Data Connection" was reset to "Global" but many of my sites were originally "PASV." Once I changed it to "PASV" it appeared to work properly. So the process of restoring FlashFXP 3 site information into the new version does not appear to restore the "PASV" flag in "Data Connection."

The settings from v3.x should be carried over without any issues, these values are identical in v4.x so I'm really not sure how they got mixed up, I also tested the upgrade/import procedure and was unable to see the values changing.

You can set the global Data Connection mode value via the Preferences dialog under the FTP section.

I'm glad you were able to resolve the issue.
