FlashFXP 4.1 Build 1591 (beta)

  1. Changed > Local file browser > The local browser has been reworked to properly handle windows 7 libraries. This may cause some unforeseen issues that were not detected during my testing, please let me know if you experience any problems.
  2. Changed > Local file browser > When accessing the shell name space 3rd party shell objects are loaded into FlashFXP but never freed, FlashFXP now calls CoFreeUnusedLibrariesEx() to free them after a set period of inactivity.
  3. Fixed > Local file browser > tree navigation > Refactored the method used to refresh the treeview shell name space.
  4. Changed > Downloads > Prior to each file download the drive type was checked to determine the drive type (local, network, external, etc), the drive type is now cached to improve performance.
  5. Fixed > Remote folder cache > Improved the logic used to swap cached entries from memory to disk when internal memory limit is reached.
  6. Fixed > Selective transfer rules dialog > Apparently there were some situations that were not properly tested that resulted in unexpected results.

Confirmed issues
  1. Selective Transfer Rule dialog > Folder List > Add Entry failure

    The in-place editor appears, after entering some text and pressing enter the text does not get added into the listbox.

    I have confirmed the issue and this has been fixed for the next release.
Reported but not confirmed
  1. Unable to delete a local folder from the local file browser on Windows 7 64bit.

    I suspect that this might be a conflict with vipre antivirus but unable to reproduce it under a VM environment.

  2. The status-bar on the bottom of the window isn't always repainting during a file transfer.

Reported but not confirmed

Unable to delete a local folder from the local file browser on Windows 7 64bit.

I can not confirm this i using Windows 7 64bit Home Premium and i can delete folders all time with build 1591.
Using Avast Free Antivirus No Problems.
