Default Fatal Exception Error

I just down loaded the newest file for FlashFXP
Tried to run it and I am getting the blue screen of death

Say it has a Fatal Exception 00 in VxD NProtect(01)

My Norton Anti virus is disabled when this happens, have tried it also being enabled, still have same results.

Anyone have any ideas what is causing this?
Any help at all if greatly appreciated.

Did you just overwrite your existing one? Please try and install the new one to a new folder...an old setting/config/etc may be causing problems.

This is the first time I have downloaded this program.
But I will delete the entire folder and re-install again.

Uninstalled, delelted folder, reinstalled, no luck.
Still blue screen of death when I fire up the program.

Even though the virus scanner is "disabled", its still what is causing the problem. NProtect is norton av process. what version of norton is it?
