Default BUG: FFXP is stopping download while using it's GUI

Hi,

another bug which is REALLY annoying and it would be soo cool to fix it

Download a File (or more) and then click down the mouse button, for example drag the scrollbar as you might be looking for files.. flashfxp stops downloading till you release the mouse button. Same thing when double-clicking the log window and dragging any of the menus in the pop-upping editor window (which is a really cool thing though!)

FlashFXP Versions affected: All i ever used
OS: Windows XP SP1

it's not a bug and it won't be fixed untill flashfxp is completly rewritten.
FlashFXP is a single thread application. it can't do 2 things at the same time, such as download and work w/ gui, so flashfxp switches between different tasks whenever needed.. right now gui has priority over everything else, hense download stops when you click mouse or drag files. if it wasn't so you wouldn't be able to use flashfxp at all untill your download/upload would stop.

this topic have been covered multiple times. in the future please search msgboard before posting.

flashfxp is coded in delphi.
since it's a major undertaking, there is no eta on rewrite

Hi,

i wonder how to use SSL + FTP in Delphi.. i'm using PowerTCPTools for that but they're not really good.. you maybe got some tips or tutorials/guides? would be very nice, thanks

cya, blubb

(No, i don't want to make a FFXP-Clone or something, just ftp with ssl)

Were you referring to FlashFXP stopping while downloading a file using a SSL connection?

There was a bug that caused this behavior, it has been fixed in FlashFXP v2.2 build 964 BETA

Oh. I didn't see that.

I'm not aware of any online tutorials or guides. I'm sure some exist. The basic SSL/TLS fundamentals used in FlashFXP were not written by me.

I'm sorry it's been a couple years since we've been in contact. I no longer know how to reach him.

no no, I said the basic SSL/TLS fundamentals. Examples of how to implement SSL/TLS into my already existing socket library. I'm afraid I don't have them anymore.

Our use of SSL/TLS has come along way since then, but everything I learned I learned from reading the openssl documents.

I hear there are some good books on openssl but they aren't delphi specific.

hmm those OpenSSL-Docs are hard to read because english isn't my mother language :/ some examples would be great as i'm just not able to write good source from theoretic docs..

well if you maybe find any way to help me (locate the old examples or just remember how they looked like?) you are able to see my email-address (i think)..

thanks, blubb
