Do you see anything interesting in the debug.log? Have you tried disabling your antivirus?

I'm assuming you're using the absolute latest version of FlashFXP? Have you tried making backups of your FlashFXP data files, uninstalling, deleting the install folder, and then completely reinstalling?

What operating system? Have you checked the OS event log for any events relating to FlashFXP?

FlashFXP is only 99.99% windows compatible, A small number of users 0.01% are unable to run FlashFXP. They have the exact same symptoms as you have explained above. At the moment we don't know how to solve the problem or what specifically causes it. In some cases re-installing the OS has solved the problem, but most often it doesn't.

You might try running FlashFXP from Safe Mode and see if that helps. That would somewhat rule out conflicts with other software/services.

FlashFXP should run with a debugger active. This option has been deactivated in our protection scheme.
