Default Happy with FlashFXP

I just downloaded and installed FlashFXP, and am very impressed

It's got lots of options, FXP transfer capabilities (hence the name FlashFXP ), it's quite flexible, and it seems to have very view bugs, comparatively to other FTP applications.

One very minor bug I noticed, though: when using FlashFXP at a resolution higher than 800x600, the local file area seems to resize itself to an unusable height upon startup of FlashFXP. For now, I'll just deal with resizing it everytime I start FlashFXP.

If you need a screenshot, I can post one (or two) soon.

Other than that, I have no complaints. Great job guys!

This is how it looks when I close and re-open FlashFXP (or begin a new session):

FlashFXP: FlashFXP Version 2.0 Build 906.

OS: Actually, you're right, and wrong

The screenshots show FlashFXP v2.0 b906 running on Windows 2000.

I use it primarily on Windows 98SE. It does this for both Windows 98 and Windows 2000.

Oh, one more thing...there's minor bug with the CHMOD. Steps to reproduce:

1. Right click a folder in the remote directory tree.
2. Click "Attributes (CHMOD)"
3. You'll see that the permissions are reported as 000 (when, really there are something else, like 755)

I have resolved this problem with FlashFXP resizing properly in horizontal layout mode. If your a registered user you can download 909 beta 2 from the public beta area.

However I am unable to reproduce this problem wth chmod.

Sorry, it's not "000", everything is just blank when I try to change permissions this way. If I select "Attributes (CHMOD)" using the remote file view, it works fine.

No, I'm not a registered user (yet). I'm going to get a "feel" for FlashFXP first to make sure I know what it has and what it's limitations are first.

Oops my bad you said "remote directory tree" FlashFXP doesn't know/keep track the chmod value when accessing chmod via the tree. So when you select chmod no default value is shown.

That's OK. I'm used to it -- my previous FTP client couldn't do that either.
