Hi, I am totally new to this application and I would like to know in what direction the development goes. I need to purchase an ftp-client and I am not really sure which one - but flashfxp seems quite good. I am only dissappointed that the current beta changelog and a "still to do"-list is not publicly available (password-protected). Those to text-files might help a newbie to decide whether the program is the right one (before he buys another one and regrets it later )

Maybe you think about publishing the changelog and todo-list. I am totally fine with making available the current build of flashfxp only to registered users.

Thanks for any help,

As far I know lastest beta changelogs are public. You can find them on "Public Beta Testing" section (take a look here); but yes, "Complete Changelog" is only accesible by those who have a valid license. There's also a todo-list here, but don't know if it's completely updated.

I used the forum's search function - all I found was links to the complete changelog (which ist password-protected - why BTW????)

Well, seems a bit out-dated

Okay, what I really need in flashfxp is a function to import ftp-sites from "Total Commander" and multi-threading (like in "Total Commander") would be very fine, too (should I open a new thread for these wishes - I guess no). Is any of that implemented in current betas? How stable are the current releases?

Any help/answers appreciated.

Protected changelog contains exactly the same info as the posts but mixed in one file. Multithreading is suggested in many posts but devs said that isn't going to appear soon because it'll need a big rewrite of the actual code.

Try searching the forum about the function to import sites from 'Total Commander'.

i split these posts from beta thread since they are not directly related to that beta build.

import of Total Commander sites was added to current beta cycle of FlashFXP. and from the 3 sites i have in TC, it works flawlessly..

complete changelog is in password protected dir becuase well, it's only really usefull to those who have access to beta builds, and even then, it's mainly done to easier keep track of changes to public for the final release.
you can still see what difference each build has by looking at thread for each build.
beta releases are pretty stable, but some issues do arise and bigstar address them pretty fast..but after all, that's why they are beta releases
