slow and sluggish

at some points, FlashFXP gets extremely, extremely slow and sluggish; have to wait about a minute for it to respond to, say, openinga folder in local/remote.

anything I can do to speed it up? only happens when I have several programs running at a time, but closing everything doesn't help flashfxp

What version/build of FlashFXP are you using?

Does the entire application window lockup or does it just take a minute or so before the task complete?

The entire application window locks up. v2.1, build 924

actually this seems to only have began lately, past 4 days or so; been working fine the past 2-3 years

I can say that I installed a beta version of FlashFXP into another directory; should that conflict?

if you are storing your settings in your application data folder, the new beta will upgrade those settings. this might be causing problems with the 2.1 version. does the new beta version display this sluggishness?

Beta works fine so far, I'll report back if anything is wrong.
