Hi,

As I have searched this forum on my problem but haven't found a working solution, I am making this new thread.

Currently, I am trying to setup a ftp connection between my xbox and my pc. The IP from my PC is 192.168.1.3 and the one of my Xbox is 192.168.1.2. Connecting with the xbox seems to go fine, but I get the following message...

WinSock 2.0
Connecting to 192.168.1.2
Connected to 192.168.1.2 -> IP=192.168.1.2 PORT=21

PORT 192,168,1,3,7,76
425 Can't open data connection to 192.168.1.3:19463
Connection lost: 192.168.1.2

I guess this has something to do with my router, but I can't seem to figure out how to solve this. Can someone please help me out here?

i'm pretty sure it's not your router's fault but rather zonealarm's
check zonealarm config to make sure flashfxp has "server" permisions or whatever that feature is called..
my guess is zonealarm is blocking incoming connections to flashfxp.

I have granted FlashFXP full access through Zonealarm. Also, I already added both the IP adresses of my Xbox and PC as trusted zones, but this doesn't seem to help.

I've added my PC IP adress in the NAT-virtual server options of my router. With service Port: 21, Type: TCP, and Enable: Checked.

This results in the following message in FlashFXP:

Connecting to 192.168.1.2
Connected to 192.168.1.2 -> IP=192.168.1.2 PORT=21
220 Please enter your login name now.

PORT 192,168,1,3,4,2
200 Port command ok.
LIST
150 Opening ASCII data connection for ls /.
226 Transfer finished successfully. Data connection closed.

But I don't get a directory listing of my xbox...

Edit: I'm going nuts here... I just made my the IP range of my private network (192.168.1.x) trusted in Zonealarm and now I am getting practically the same message as before...

Connecting to 192.168.1.2
Connected to 192.168.1.2 -> IP=192.168.1.2 PORT=21

EDIT 2: pinging my xbox from my pc is successful. Also, another program (qwix) which only allows one-way communication to the xbox is working fine. The problem seems to when the communication goes from the xbox to the pc. I suspect the router settings have to do something with this, but tinkering with them hasn't solved anything. Probably the NAT settings have to be changed, but in what way?

I would be very grateful when someone could help me out on this!!!

The strange thing is... I can ping my Xbox successfully and can connect with it through Telnet without any problems.

Please, does someone know how to configure FlashFXP in my situation or perhaps what to do with my router? I am going nearly nuts, and this forum is my last hope.
