set current local directory by typing path, must use mouse

in the ftp only view, I would like to be able to change the directory/folder on the left side, the local side, by typing the path, ie c:\myjunk\ftpjunk\

I can do this on the remote directory pane, but not on the local directory pane. instead I have to browse with the mouse. I don't like browsing with the mouse.
