Default SSH Please

Every is so freaked out about security these day and I keep getting more and more forced to use these protocols. SSH is used alot with linux systems. It would be sooooo awesome to have that ability in FlashFXP as I would rather not use some crappy ssh ftp program.

Thanks

Chris

Default Really???

FlashFXP doesn't support SSH?? Oh my god I didn't realize that. Maybe that is why I posted this message here. Hoping the developers would add the support for it.

Why have a java app when you can have a different FTP program like FTP voyager to name 1 who can do SSH. Hopefully FlashFXP will add it as I am being forced to switch away.

A side note I hate java and will not use java.

faeryking, you should be more polite, especially since you're asking a question that has been asked many, many times before:

Default Your Right

I should be nicer especially since none of you work for FlashFXP.

Sorry for being so harsh.

I am now more annoyed with FlashFXP than before because there area so many posting on this issue and it still hasn't been put in this version that is almost ready for release, now RC4. I can't see much for changes, except bug fixes and it is going to a whole new version. Talk about dissapointing.

I'm sure you could write the perfect ftp client. You should give it a try, that way you can make it ssh-compatible.

I know next to nothing about programming, but I would guess that adding ssh support would require a lot of work.
Since most people wont use it, they spend their time on making things the majority would use.
When you're selling a program you can't make stuff to satisfy the individual user, you need to satisfy the majority.

I'd say there's more people that want a multi-thread ffxp than people that want it to be ssh. Which do you think they'll focus on first? (Maybe ssh is far easier and they'll do that first, time will tell)

Believe it or not, *you* are not the center of their focus.

Perhaps you should consider reading a changelog and the rest of the forum and seeing the incredible work bigstar has done adding features, listening to user feedback and bugfixing things? The threads I pointed out to you clearly state that SSH support won't be added. What makes you think you're so special that when you ask for it, your request should be granted?

Wait, don't answer that: there's just no pleasing some people.

Default Really???

What makes me special is I am a paying user. What makes me important to focus on is that I am not the only one who has requested SSH.

Why would SSH be so much more important than mutli-thread or maybe half a dozen other features, is that any secure linux server is running only that and you can't ftp to the box without it.
Silly me that thousands of people are running linux.

If you want secure transfers, use SSL FTP.
Or SCP/SFTP with any of the multiple clients there is available.
Or any FTP to SFTP bridge that are available (btw, I found ur comment about Java pretty funny ).
FlashFXP is a FTP client, not a SFTP or SCP client. There is a very big difference. It's not even related in fact, apart from the fact that both transfer files... But SFTP is about as close to FTP as Kazaa is.
It has been said times and times again, probably in many of the quoted threads; SSH won't be implemented in FlashFXP.
This thread being a duplicate of the post-mentionned ones, let's just close it.
