Question Using a specific IP address on the PC

Not sure if this one has been addressed before. My appologies if it has. I did look through the archive

I have a single PC that has more than one IP address assigned to it. Example DSL/CABLE/SATELLITE. Each IP is bound to a seperate NIC.

Would it be possible to specify which IP or NIC would be used for each Flash session? This would allow for specific BW usage.

I have seen similar code in G6 server but never in an FTP client. Flash owns so if anyone can do it Flash can!

Thanks

Avastan

Usually it should be able to pick the right NIC by itself, but if it fails for some reason, you can bind it to a specific IP by going to Options (F6), and the Proxy/Firewall/Ident settings.

Great!

F6 -> Proxy / Firewall/ Ident property page -> Firewall frame -> Bind local ports to this IP: check box -> IP Text Field.

If I wanted to permantely setup 3 different IPS I would need to install 3 copies of FlashFxp.

Thanks for the insight!

Yes, you would. That's just how it works, it wasn't developed in a multi-homed environment.
