I tried this for the first time today and it worked just fine. I just added *.nfo as an Exclude rule to test.
But, as you say, making the Skip List site-specific would be a better idea. That would rule out the possible error of choosing the wrong Selective Transfer profile and ending up with missing or superfluous files.
The Selective Transfer function is also much stronger in enforcing its rules than the Skip List. Which made it impossible for me to manually upload a single .nfo that I wanted. For that I had to revert to my default profile. With the Skip List function one could use the "When to skip" function and allow manual uploads when needed.
Also, I wonder if there would be any point in adding a report stating how many files that have been excluded, just like the Skip List function has? Perhaps that would be of use to someone.
