Edit VFS file while FTP running

hi guys

sorry for the n00bdom but i been looking in the help and sorry if this is a RTFM question but how can i add and delete lines in the VFS files while the ftp is running, i have tried to do it manually but obviously the files are locked by another process are there built in io commands to edit these files?

mmm, the vfs files are not locked no.
Open in notepad, edit, next time user logs in its changed.

yeah thats what is says ... but its actually in use by another processes like you cant overwrite them or anything

Not usually, I know its usually possible cos I do it regular myself. Can overwrite / delete / copy at will.
Search for the filename in process explorer, see what is using it and if its something unecessary kill the handle.
