Default Raiden/ioFTPD FXP bug

What is the setting(s) that I have to change in Raiden to make transfers between the two not just sit there after the first file is transfered?

I tried asking in the IRC channel....but just got replies to Stop using Raiden...If I Had the power to make everyone who uses Raiden to switch over I would....but I cant so...what is the setting they have to change to make their transfers work without stopping??

No, you got the reply of you're asking in the wrong place.
We use ioFTPD, not raiden. Ask over there, its their issue, raiden users will know.
And yeah, as far as we're concerned best solution is to switch to ioFTPD. Solved a shitload of issues for all of us.
Hence we aint using the raiden POS anymore so cant help ya

PIMP:

Use version 799 of raiden.

- turn off the call home part in the ini, no sense in using it.

- turn off the internal CRC checking and use FTPSERVERTOOLS programs - rock solid!!!!

- increase the port range over the default

- you may have to turn off network size scanning depending on
the delay - but that is for each system to decide on.

these 3 items did the trick...

I have no issues here with IO or any other ftpd fxping to the site.

There are people here and at other ftpd support areas that can
answer questions without being PRO-IDIOTS ...but some do
still censor other ftpd names - glad DARKONE shows he has the
class to allow other names...

Now any ftpd I run - I do not use a router, firewall or antivirus
here, that is 99.99% of all problems from SITE to SITE as 99.99
of people don't know how to set these items up.

And I don't use SSL - WHY USE IT ALL? Total waste at this time
frame...too new, too buggy, and most people I know prefer not
to use it...(let others R&D this crap until it works without the ftpd
and clients doing update after update...)

So I remove part of the problem before it starts on sites that
"do" use these items...

Why don't I use IO now - soon - ...BW CONTROL!

I thought this big was a graceful socket closing issue and has been resolved in the latest v5 release?

I could be wrong.

Yep. Enough said. ioFTPD follows the RFCs, raiden doesn't. Even flashfxp has been forced to not always follow RFC standard just so it would work with raiden.

This is a raiden bug NOT ioFTPD.

Closing this thread and renaming the topic.

I voted 'no' because i don't need it.
Anyway you should post this poll in another forum, the bug doesn't come from here.

I know, but since the raiden team will never do anything about this.
And one more thing, "who is the new kid in town" yes ioftpd are.
And no other ftpd has the same problem, glftpd, proftpd, and so on has no problem to work with raiden.
Btw, I have registered io.

proftpd does suffer from the same issue.. however it can be "fixed", by config setting as described in https://forum.raidenftpd.com/showfla...b=5&o=0&fpart=.
